TAX SERVICES

With the 2018 tax law changes, filing taxes are more complicated than ever.  Many deductions have been eliminated and new forms must now be prepared as the 1040 EZ and 1040A are no longer in use.  Even if you use a "free" computer software program, you lose out on the added benefit of getting help from an experienced tax professional who can ask questions and find deductions that the software programs couldn't otherwise suggest.

It's okay to use a tax filing software if you are single with one job and no dependents or deductions.  Even if you have dependents, you might still file your return without spending too much time doing it.  Think of us in the same way you would your doctor. If you have a headache or cough, you can take care of that without needing to go see the doctor.  However, if you have heart pain or a broken bone, it's time to make an appointment!  When your life and/or finances get more complicated, it's time to give us a call.

Don't have time to file your tax return before April 15th?  Are you a member of the military and cannot gather your documents until you return back home?  We specialize in tax preparation after tax season has ended.  We will file the necessary extensions for individuals or businesses to ensure you do not get penalized for filing late.  In the event you may owe, we can assist in determining the amount that needs to be paid by April 15th to avoid the LATE PAYMENT penalty.

Did you know that ITINs can now expire?  You have to make sure your ITIN is valid or the IRS will reject your tax return.  Each year, the IRS issues a notice that details which ITINs will expire and will need to be renewed before the new tax season begins.  This process takes time.  We have many years of experience working with taxpayers who utilize an ITIN issued by the IRS.  If you are a resident or non-resident alien who needs to fill out a tax return, we can assist you in filling out the necessary forms and getting them sent to the right place.
